How to play Abstract

  1. Place diagonal lines and Xes in cells.
  2. Shaded cells will not hold clues, lines, or Xes.
  3. No line may touch a pearl.
  4. No pearls may have line of sight to each other in any direction, with lines, Xes, and shaded cells acting as blockers.
  5. Margin numbers on the top and left of the board indicate the number of down-right lines minus the number of down-left lines.
  6. Margin numbers on the bottom and right of the board indicate the number of cells that have a line or X in them.
  7. Numbers on the board indicate the length of the long line that goes through them, with two diagonal lines that meet at a point and go in the same direction count as part of the same long line. Numbers never go on Xes.
