How to play Funhouse

  1. Draw squares made of straight lines with any size and rotation, whose vertices are in cell centers.
  2. Squares may overlap, but may not intersect.
  3. The answer will not contain any ambiguity as to where squares are and what size.
  4. Unshaded pearls denote the centers of squares and bear a number denoting the distance in orthogonal steps (counting, for intersection-placed pearls, any of the 4 adjacent cells as step 1) until landing on a vertex of the squares.
  5. If multiple squares share a center, the area numbers are summed.
  6. Shaded pearls denote one or more vertices of a square(s) and bear a number referring to how many squares total have a vertex in that cell.
  7. A grey pearl is either black or white, and you need to figure out which. Black and white are the only actual colors of pearl.
UnshadedShadedGrey

Breaks rule 2: Squares may overlap, but may not intersect.

Breaks rule 3: The answer will not contain any ambiguity as to where squares are and what size.

Breaks rule 4: Unshaded pearls denote the centers of squares and bear a number denoting the distance in orthogonal steps (counting, for intersection-placed pearls, any of the 4 adjacent cells as step 1) until landing on a vertex of the squares.

Breaks rule 6: Shaded pearls denote one or more vertices of a square(s) and bear a number referring to how many squares total have a vertex in that cell.
